Welcome to Nature Nic's Black and White Day Information

Hi My name is Nicholas Bonnitcha or "Nature Nic" as I like to call myself.  I created this Black and White Day to raise funds and awareness for the Tasmanian Devils.
 
The Tasmanian Devils are suffering from DFTD which stands for Devil Facial Tumour Disease.  This Disease is Fatal!
 
Black and White Day happens every year and in 2011 it is Friday May 20th and it is special because it is the 5th Anniversary.  On this day we ask for school students and businesses to dress in Black and White or have a morning tea, or talent quest and donate a gold coin, wear black and white shoes, or black and white laces and even as simple as black and white ribbons.  Its simple, but great because everyone has something either Black or White in their wardrobes.
 
This is the FIFTH year of Black and White Day and since it started has raised over $90,000 for the Tasmanian Devils.  This is thanks to all the schools and businesses around Australia and the USA that have supported it, the Save the Tasmanian Devil Appeal(University of Tasmania Foundation) and the continued support of Wildlife Warriors and Australia Zoo.
